Training Leaders for Action

Training

ChangeMakers is about developing the capacity of local people to take part effectively in public life and training is key to that aim. The training that we run challenges people to put their passion and energy at the service of their community. It is about developing our power and our ability to act effectively.

The training is for those who:

- want to play a more active role in the their organisation, community group, school, congregation, trade union, etc.

- are keen to develop their leadership skills

- are interested in understanding how to make an organisation more effective and inclusive

- are inquisitive about who makes decisions which impact upon our lives, families and organisations and how we can influence those decisions

- are eager to improve their ‘people’ skills and learn how to work as a team

- are willing to work for the things that they believe in

The training teaches:

- new leadership techniques

- how to connect your faith and values to practical action

- the role that power and self-interest have in group dynamics and in the functioning of wider society
